UDairy Creamery

Ice cream is produced on-site at the flagship location: the plain ice cream base is flavored with UDairy's own recipes, then frozen and packaged by UD student employees in the production area. Beginning in 2025, UDairy also began making its ice cream mix from UD milk using a continuous freezing line in the Genuardi Food Innovation Laboratory. Cheese is produced in that same lab, where students pasteurize University of Delaware raw milk to make the creamery's farmstead varieties. The Genuardi Food Innovation Laboratory also serves as teaching and research space, giving students hands-on experience in food science, dairy science, and sustainable agriculture. Additional products sold at both locations include Angus beef raised on CANR's Webb Farm, honey from CANR's apiary, and blankets made with wool from UD sheep.
