Twin Creeks Farm and Garden is a diverse family farm situated on the rolling hills of the Niagara Escarpment, near the headwaters of the Big Head River. The te Velde family has been farming since 1998, beginning with sheep milking and gradually expanding their operation. The farm offers grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, and pasture-raised chicken, all grown with organic and sustainable methods. Meat cuts are available for purchase directly from the farm or at farmers markets, and bulk orders are also offered. The farm describes its products as going beyond organic in their growing standards.
Twin Creeks Farm and Garden raises 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, rotationally grazed on fresh pasture from May through November and fed naturally grown hay and natural minerals during the off-season. Pastured pork and poultry are free to graze from spring to early winter and have access to the outdoors during winter months. Pork and poultry are corn and soy free, with supplemental grains limited to barley, oats, peas, and flax, along with naturally grown hay, vegetables, and natural minerals. All livestock is hormone free and GMO free. The farm uses organic and sustainable growing methods, and describes its natural fertility practices as protecting ground water by rebuilding soil structure and retaining soil nutrients.
