Family-owned Berkshire heritage pig farm raising pasture-raised pork and farm eggs in Kentucky.
Tulip Hayes Farm is a family-owned and operated livestock farm founded by Shena and David Kirk in Georgetown, Kentucky. The farm specializes in raising American Berkshire Association (ABA) registered Berkshire pigs and pasture-raised pork, and also sells farm fresh eggs. Its Berkshire hogs rotationally graze across 175 acres of woodlands and pastures. Cuts available include tomahawk pork chops, bone-in thick chops, Boston butt roasts, smoked and cured bacon, smoked hocks, multiple sausage varieties, bratwurst, and whole or half hog shares. The farm is named after the Kirk children, Tulip and Hayes, and sits on a property with a farming history dating back to the 1800s. Learn more on their About Page.
Tulip Hayes Farm raises 100% purebred Berkshire pigs registered with the American Berkshire Association (ABA), sourcing its original breeding stock from ABA breeders. Hogs rotationally graze across 175 acres of woodlands, pastures of bee balm, timothy, and alfalfa. The farm intentionally limits its herd size to ensure ample grazing space, quality animal interaction, and pastures that do not contaminate local waterways. Livestock care is provided by a mobile veterinarian, and the farm maintains full healthcare and pedigree records for transparency. The farm describes these three guiding principles as: prioritizing animal health, investing in quality breeding stock, and leading with humanity in herd management.
