Fine-dining restaurant serving seasonal prix fixe menus rooted in Kentucky agriculture.
Holly Hill Inn is a fine-dining restaurant owned by chef Ouita Michel, a James Beard Foundation nominee and multiple-time semifinalist, and her husband Chris. The restaurant is known for its imaginative prix fixe menus served across lunch, dinner, and brunch services. The dinner menu is a four-course prix fixe, while lunch and brunch are each offered at a set price with a choice of courses. Holly Hill Inn also maintains an award-winning wine list and a bourbon library of more than 100 bottles. The dining experience spans multiple rooms inside a historic 1845 Greek Revival homestead, and the culinary team is led by Michel alongside Executive Chef and Culinary Director Tyler McNabb.
Holly Hill Inn draws on locally raised meat and produce as a core principle, with the goal of preserving Kentucky agriculture. Herbs, vegetables, and edible flowers from the restaurant's own on-site gardens appear regularly on the menus; those gardens have grown to nearly two acres under cultivation, tended by farming partner David Wagoner and his DirtWorks team. Menus change with the seasons, reflecting what is available from local farms and the kitchen gardens. Named farm and producer sourcing appears on the menus: ingredients such as Joyce Farms duck, High Five Farm lettuces, and Creekstone Farms beef feature alongside produce grown on the grounds. The menus note that dietary accommodations are available, and a children's menu is offered.
