TrailBale Farm is a family-run farm on the east side of Tampa, founded by Travis and Jamie, who now operate it alongside their son Hank and other farm helpers. The farm raises pasture-raised chickens, pigs, and turkeys, and also sells eggs and grass-finished beef. All animals are raised on pasture and moved continuously to fresh ground. TrailBale processes its chickens on the farm under a Florida Limited Poultry and Egg Farm permit. In addition to its own products, the farm sells New Country Organics feed. TrailBale Farm operates a closed-loop farming system in which all animals live on pasture and are rotated continuously. Multiple species, including chickens, pigs, and turkeys, are moved to fresh ground on a regular cycle, a practice the farm says improves soil fertility and breaks disease cycles. Chickens and hens forage on grass, weeds, and bugs, and the farm states it has never used medications of any kind on its poultry. All animals are supplemented with New Country Organics feed, which the farm describes as organic, GMO-free, soy-free, and corn-free. Egg-laying hens live in mobile coops that are relocated to a new spot each week. The farm also sources and resells grass-finished beef.
