Overview

A bio-intensive urban farm selling produce, pasture-raised meats, raw dairy, and eggs from its Downtown Tampa farm store.

Meacham Urban Farm transformed a vacant two-acre lot in Downtown Tampa into a working farm and farm store. It grows much of what it sells itself and partners with trusted Florida farms that share its standards. The farm store carries organically grown produce, grass-finished beef, pasture-raised chicken, pork, and turkey, farm-fresh eggs, raw dairy, and a bread and pantry section. The farm is part of the Encore redevelopment project and was built in collaboration with the Tampa Housing Authority and the Hillsborough County School District. It is named after Christina Meacham, who in 1914 served as principal of Tampa's first African American school, once located on the same site. The farm also runs an education program for local school students and the public. Learn more on their About Page.
