Overview

A 160-acre goat and sheep dairy farm with an on-site creamery producing seasonal farmstead cheeses.

Toluma Farms is a 160-acre goat and sheep dairy and educational farm in Marin County. Tamara Hicks and David Jablons began stewarding the land in 2003, opened the farm as a goat and sheep dairy in 2007, and launched Tomales Farmstead Creamery in 2013. The creamery produces seasonal farmstead cheeses from goat, sheep, and Jersey cow milk, with several cheese names drawn from the Coast Miwok language. Named cheeses include Kenne, Atika, Teleeka, Liwa, Koto'la, and Bossy, with multiple Good Food Award and American Cheese Society Award wins across the line. Cheese is available at an honor-system Airstream Farm Shop on-site, at Bay Area farmers markets, and through retail and restaurant accounts. The farm also hosts tours, farmstays, retreats, and volunteer opportunities. Learn more on their About Page.
