Pasture-raised Red Angus beef, lamb, poultry, and eggs sold direct from an East Texas ranch.
Sunset Springs Ranch is a family-run farm in East Texas that raises Red Angus cattle, Gulf Coast/Katahdin cross sheep, and heritage-breed poultry, selling beef, lamb, poultry, and eggs direct to consumers. The ranch was established on the principle that food and farming can restore health, and it has operated using regenerative agricultural practices since purchasing the property in 2020. Products are available in bulk cuts and can be ordered through the ranch's online shop. The ranch also hosts on-farm events and shares recipes, cooking guides, and food-sovereignty resources for its customers. Learn more on their About Page.
Sunset Springs Ranch raises its ruminant animals, Red Angus cattle and sheep, on pasture forage only, moving them to a new pasture section each day to prevent overgrazing and support soil health. No synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, or vaccines are used. Animals reproduce and wean their young on their own schedule, without managed intervention in their reproductive cycle. As free-choice supplements, cattle and sheep have access to organic garlic granules, Sea-90 ocean mineral salt, natural baking soda, and apple cider vinegar. Heritage-breed poultry (Barred Plymouth Rock chickens, Red Bourbon Turkeys, and Silver Saddle Back Geese) are raised together in a mobile coop with free-range access to recently grazed pastures. Poultry receive non-GMO organic feed, apple cider vinegar in their water, and treats of black soldier fly larvae and organic blue corn scratch. Roll-away nest boxes keep eggs clean without disturbing their natural bloom.
