Family farm offering CSA shares, pasture-raised meats, and produce grown with organic practices
Sub Edge Farm is a family-run farm in Farmington, CT with a long agricultural history on its rich alluvial soils. Today, the farm grows 10 acres of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and culinary herbs across more than 150 varieties. It offers a CSA program with small, medium, and large share options for weekly on-farm pickup, as well as a seasonal farm shop. The farm also humanely raises heritage breed pigs, pasture-raised broiler chickens and layer hens, and 100% grass-fed beef. Wholesale accounts serve local restaurants and schools. A Patron Share option provides multi-year CSA membership, egg shares, and farm-to-table dinners. Learn more on their About Page.
Sub Edge Farm grows all crops using exclusively organic methods, without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. The farm focuses on traditional, old-fashioned varieties and rejects the use of genetically modified organisms. Animals are raised humanely: pigs are heritage breed, broilers and layer hens are pasture-raised, and beef cattle are 100% grass-fed.
