Multi-generational farm raising 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, pastured poultry, and fresh eggs since 1929.
Stuart Family Farm is a family-operated cattle ranch with roots going back to 1929, when Henry Stuart purchased the original property. The farm spans approximately 800 acres of preserved land across western Connecticut. Its products include 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef; pastured pork; pastured chicken; fresh eggs; organically grown hay; and Rody's Dry Rubs. Beef cattle are Red Angus and graze on rotationally managed land. Products are available through a farm store open on weekends and through state-wide home delivery (no mail shipping). Animal welfare sits at the core of the farm's work. Learn more on their About Page.
Stuart Family Farm follows regenerative ranching practices, with a stated focus on soil health and operating in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem. Its beef cattle are raised on a 100% grass and forage diet for their entire lives and are never finished in feedlots. Cattle rotationally graze across the farm's acreage. The farm holds Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) certification and is Certified Grassfed by A Greener World (AGW) for its beef cattle, and carries the Connecticut Grown designation. Humane handling and animal husbandry are applied across all livestock, including pastured pork and pastured poultry.
