A historic working ranch raising buffalo, cattle, and horses in California's Coastal Mountain Range.
Stonyford Ranch is a privately owned working ranch that has operated as a continuous cattle operation since 1875, passing through only four owners in that time. Nestled in the Coastal Mountain Range, the ranch is home to breeding herds of buffalo, cattle, and horses, as well as an abundance of native wildlife. The buffalo herd alone numbers around 500 animals. The property supports a rich variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, elk, black bear, mountain lions, and peregrine falcons. Stonyford Ranch is completely self-sufficient in feed production, growing its own hay on the property to supply the livestock through the winter months.
