Family farm raising pork, poultry, lamb, beef, and eggs, with a Meat CSA and farm store in Boylston, MA.
Spring Ridge Farm is a family-owned and operated farm run by Tricia and Mike May. The farm began selling eggs in 2003 and has since expanded to raise pigs, meat chickens, turkeys, sheep, and beef cattle. Spring Ridge Farm offers a traditional Meat CSA, a Poultry CSA, and a Fish share in partnership with Jax Seafood. Individual cuts of meat are available year-round through the farm store. Products are also sold at local farmers markets. The farm describes its priority as providing locally raised meats, eggs, and produce, with great care given to the comfort of its animals. All animals at Spring Ridge Farm have free access to the outdoors, with some kept in fields and others in the woods. The animals eat from the ground and receive garden scraps from the farm. Spring Ridge Farm does not treat its animals with artificial growth hormones or antibiotics. The farm rotates pasture for the health of both animals and land. All poultry is raised on the farm, as is all lamb. Pork comes from both on-farm raising and farm partners. Beef is sourced from a farm partner. The farm works with partner farms to support the local agricultural community while maintaining a year-round supply.
