Rocky Acres Farm is an 80-acre, family-operated farm that became Rocky Acres Farm LLC in 2002, carrying on a Favreau family farming tradition that began in 1938. The farm maintains a herd of Simmental Angus and Hereford beef cattle and also raises pasture-raised pork. Beef is available in shares ranging from a family box to a half cow, with cuts including burger, roasts, stew, ribs, and steak. Pasture-raised pork is sold by the quarter or half pig. Customers place orders by phone or email and schedule a farm pick-up. Firewood, compost, manure, and loam are also available.
Rocky Acres Farm raises its beef cattle as free-range and grass-fed, with no antibiotics or hormones in the feed. The farm describes its approach as committed to raising animals the way nature intended: from birth to market, the cattle breathe fresh air, graze on grass, and drink fresh water.
