Overview

Second-generation pick-your-own fruit farm with a farm store, bakery, and orchard with over 30 apple varieties.

Tougas Family Farm is a family-owned, pick-your-own fruit farm founded in 1981 by Maurice and Phyllis Tougas, who bought 53 acres of orchards. A neighboring property added in 2001 brought it to nearly 90 acres. The farm grows strawberries, sweet and tart cherries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, nectarines, pumpkins, and over 30 apple varieties on more than 40,000 trees, including hard-to-find types. Visitors can shop the farm store for fruit, jams, honey, and baked goods, eat at the farm kitchen or weekend grill, and enjoy ice cream, apple cider donuts, and a beer and hard cider garden. A barnyard, playground, wagon rides, and seasonal events round out the visit. The farm has been under the Massachusetts Agricultural Preservation Restriction program since 1986, and three generations of the Tougas family live and work on the property.
