Award-winning gastropub serving seasonal farmhouse fare, craft beer, and cocktails in Worcester, MA.
Armsby Abbey is an internationally recognized gastropub opened in 2008 by husband-and-wife team Alec Lopez and Sherri Sadowski. The restaurant serves a seasonal farmhouse menu rooted in New American cuisine, with food sourced from area farms and greenhouses. Menus span lunch, mid-day, dinner, and weekend brunch. The beer program features a rotating selection of 18 world-class draughts alongside an extensive cellared bottle list, earning recognition from Beer Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and DRAFT Magazine. The cocktail program follows a seasonally-inspired approach, drawing ingredients from local farms and orchards. Armsby Abbey has received 76 Best of Worcester Awards, including wins for Best Farm-to-Table Restaurant and Best Beer Selection. Learn more on their About Page.
Armsby Abbey describes its approach as an ethical commitment to food sourcing, guided by Slow Food ideals. The kitchen draws ingredients from area farms and greenhouses, and the cocktail menu shifts with what local farms and orchards are producing each season. Named farm and producer partners appearing on the menu include Tougas Farm (fruit), Little Leaf Farm (greens), Iggy's and Euro Bakery (breads), and a selection of named farmstead cheesemakers: Jasper Hill Cellars (Vermont), Cato Corner (Connecticut), Blue Ledge Farm (Vermont), Stony Pond Farm (Vermont), and Vermont Creamery.
