Certified Naturally Grown produce and pasture-raised eggs from a first-generation farm near Lake Oconee.
Southern Pine Farm is a first-generation farm in Greensboro, Georgia, founded in 2020 by Annemiek and Jeff. It began as a pasture-raised chicken egg operation and grew into a seasonal produce farm serving the Lake Oconee area. Southern Pine Farm sells its eggs and vegetables through an on-site farm stand and at the Lake Oconee Farmer's Market in Eatonton on Saturdays. The farm stand also carries a rotating selection of goods from neighboring local farms and producers, which can include sourdough bread, honey, floral bouquets, and mushrooms. Southern Pine Farm holds Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) certification. Under that commitment, it uses no synthetic chemical pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers, and plants no GMO seeds. The farm practices Permaculture farming, an approach that uses and simulates patterns found in natural ecosystems to allow those systems to regenerate on their own. Southern Pine Farm describes its goal as growing practices that continuously improve soil and land health, and it identifies regenerative farming as central to how it operates.
