Natural grass-fed beef farm raising pasture-raised cattle on 300 acres in Putnam County.
Carhan Farm is a family-run cattle operation in Putnam County, Georgia, farming approximately 300 acres since 2013. Tom and Alex Pearson purchased the land with a focus on conservation, restoration, and long-term stewardship, building a herd that now numbers over 140 cows and calves. The farm sells beef in individual cuts (steaks, roasts, ground beef), sampler bundles, and bulk options including quarter, half, and whole cow. Beef can be picked up at the farm or ordered online. The farm also supplies local markets and restaurants. Learn more on their About Page.
Carhan Farm raises a mixed herd of South Poll, Angus, Hereford, and Brangus cattle, selected to produce hybrid vigor. Cattle are born and spend their entire lives on the farm's pastures. The beef is 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised, with no hormones, antibiotics, or steroids used. Rotational grazing is practiced to maximize forage quality and land health, and the farm produces its own hay to supplement the herd in winter. The grass is grown without herbicides. Beef is dry-aged for 14 days and processed at a USDA or Georgia State inspected facility, then delivered vacuum-sealed. The farm describes its overall approach as regenerative agriculture aimed at restoring and preserving the land.
