Small regenerative farm selling grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and free-range eggs
Sorrels Beef Company is a small regenerative farm raising grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and free-range eggs. The operation began with free-range eggs, then expanded to beef and, later, pork. Cattle are born and raised on the farm itself. Pork comes from heritage breed piglets sourced from other farms at eight weeks old and raised to butcher weight on site. Products are available for on-farm pick-up and through an honor-system farm store. Beef is sold in pre-packaged cuts and sampler boxes as well as in bulk quarters, halves, and eighths. Half and whole hog reservations are also offered, with custom processing handled at a USDA-inspected facility. Learn more on their About Page.
Sorrels Beef Company raises its cattle without antibiotics or added hormones, and uses no confinement barns or pesticides. Cattle graze rotationally through paddocks of grasses and legumes; when pastures stop growing, they are fed hay. Pigs live outside with access to shelter and are fed a non-GMO grain mix. Heritage breed piglets are not vaccinated, though de-wormer is administered as needed.
