Family farm raising pastured livestock, poultry, and dairy animals for naturally raised meat, eggs, and goat milk shares.
Soeltl Farm began as a family homestead raising food for its own table, and has since grown into a small-scale livestock farm serving a network of customers and local restaurants. The farm raises beef, pork, veal, goat, chicken, turkey, duck, and goose, along with chicken eggs, honey, and cajeta. It also operates Ganruly Dairy, producing goat milk and moving into goat cheese. Products are sold on-farm, with delivery available within 30 miles for qualifying orders. The farm operates on a reservation and deposit model, working on a first-ordered basis with limited annual production runs for each species.
Soeltl Farm uses no growth hormones, stimulants, or routine antibiotics in raising its animals. The farm has signed the CT NOFA Farmers Pledge yearly since 2007, and is a member of CT Farm Bureau and CT Grown. Angus beef is locally sourced and dry-aged a minimum of two weeks before sale. Veal and goat are USDA processed, and pork can be custom or USDA processed. The farm offers herd shares for goat milk and produces custom waterfowl to order. Soeltl Farm describes its approach as raising animals the same way it would for its own family, emphasizing constant care and keeping animals happy and healthy.
