Vegetable and fruit farm offering a CSA, farm stand, and farmers market in Lyme, CT
Long Table Farm is a regenerative, diversified farm operated by Baylee Drown and Ryan Quinn on Beaver Brook Road in Lyme, Connecticut. The farm grows seasonal vegetables, fruits, eggs, and raises grass-fed beef, poultry, and duck eggs. Its 150-family CSA delivers weekly shares of 7 to 9 crops alongside cooking ideas, with sliding scale pricing and share scholarships available. Long Table Farm also sells at two area farmers markets and hosts a fall-through-spring farmers market on the farm property in a timber frame barn. The farm supplies wholesale to restaurants, grocers, and local meal centers, and partners with schools and accepts WWOOFers and apprentices.
Long Table Farm is a Northeast Organic Farming Association member farm and has committed to the Organic Farmer's Pledge Practices. Since 2018, pest control has relied exclusively on biological methods and dish soap, including releasing beneficial organisms, row cover, and crop rotation, with no chemical sprays of any kind, including no approved organic pesticides such as Entrust, Neem, or Pyganic. Growing methods are low-tillage for annual crops and no-tillage for perennials, including rotationally grazed pastures. The farm produces its own compost and uses certified organic fertilizers, with fertilizer application reduced by over 70 percent through livestock integration. Its approach is guided by agroecology, Holistic Management, and the writings of Eliot Coleman, with biodiversity and soil health as top priorities.
