No-till vegetable and flower farm offering year-round CSA boxes in Sonoma County
Singing Frogs Farm is an 8.8-acre, no-till vegetable farm in Sonoma County, California. It offers a year-round veggie CSA with weekly boxes of 5 to 9 seasonal items, including greens, roots, herbs, and fruit, with pickup at multiple sites across Santa Rosa and West Sonoma County. A Flower CSA is also available. Members can add on extra produce from the farm or products from partner local producers, including eggs, pantry staples such as olive oil and flour, and more. CSA memberships are accessible to CalFresh/SNAP-EBT holders through a Market Match partnership with Petaluma Bounty and the Ecology Center. The farm also offers educational programs including workshops, farm tours, consultations, and speaking engagements. Learn more on their About Page.
Singing Frogs Farm uses a no-till system of soil management, avoiding all plowing and rototilling in order to protect and build soil biology. The farm uses no sprays of any kind, including organic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Instead, it relies on thousands of perennial plantings and hedgerows to provide habitat for beneficial insects that prey on pests, along with robust soil biology to manage soil-based pest cycles. The farm describes its approach as going beyond organic, producing a biodiverse ecosystem across its fields. It grows hundreds of crop varieties throughout the year and notes that its no-till practices have significantly increased soil organic matter over time.
