Year-round CSA and produce farm growing over 40 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits in Sonoma County.
Pink Barn Farm is a small produce farm established in 2017 and operated by farmers Rose Madden and Gavin Powell. The farm takes its name from a large pink barn at the center of the property. It cultivates five acres across three field locations, each with distinct microclimates and soil types, allowing for year-round planting and harvesting of more than 40 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits. Its year-round CSA program offers weekly on-farm pick-up, with shares containing 8 to 14 types of seasonal produce. Pink Barn Farm also supplies local restaurants and wholesales specialty crops through FEED Sonoma.
Pink Barn Farm states that it practices 100% organic farming methods and follows strict organic growing practices. Its approach is rooted in agro-ecology, combining agricultural science with ecological principles to build rich, active soil and a healthy farm ecosystem. Specific practices include cover cropping, compost application, minimal tillage, intentional farm design, and the planting of pollinator hedgerows. The operation is spread across three field locations chosen to support year-round growing through a range of microclimates and soil types.
