50-acre Sudbury farm offering CSA produce shares, farmstores, and year-round vegetable, fruit, flower, and mushroom boxes.
Siena Farms is a family-run, 50-acre diversified farm growing over 100 varieties of vegetables, flowers, and mushrooms. Farmer Chris Kurth founded it on Massachusetts farmland where he grew up, and the farm took its current name in 2005. It now serves CSA members, retail customers, and select chefs year-round. Siena Farms operates two Boston farmstores, at the Boston Public Market and in the South End. Its CSA offers Vegetable, Fruit, Flower, and Mushroom Shares, plus a Monthly Subscription option, available through 40-plus pickup locations across Greater Boston, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, and through home and office delivery throughout Eastern Massachusetts and NYC. The farm also runs Community Sponsored and Employer Sponsored Farm Share programs and supports hunger relief through partnerships that direct produce to families facing food insecurity. Siena Farms grows its produce using sustainable agricultural practices, free of chemical herbicides, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers. To build soil fertility and beneficial microbial activity, the farm relies on natural composts, certified organic fertilizers, cover crops, and mineral amendments. Soil health is a core focus, and the farm cites its direct influence on the flavor, nutrition, and storage quality of its produce. The farm collaborates with regional chefs to inform crop varietal selections and harvest techniques.
