Certified Naturally Grown vegetable farm donating produce to those in need
Seton Harvest is a small farm sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Province of St. Louise, growing natural produce since 2006. Established as a non-profit, it is committed to donating 80% of everything it grows to address food insecurity in the greater Evansville area. The farm operates hydroponic and aquaponic greenhouses alongside traditional fields, and raises chickens. It also runs education programs, summer camps, and hosts farm events. Volunteers are welcomed for planting, harvesting, greenhouse work, and more. Learn more on their About Page.
Seton Harvest holds Certified Naturally Grown status. Under this certification, the farm uses no synthetic chemical insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or fertilizers on its crops or fields, and no chemically treated or genetically modified seeds. It uses organically approved soil amendments and sprays minimally and carefully. Soil, water, and air quality are maintained through crop rotations, cover crops, and protective buffer strips. Post-harvest handling follows sanitary practices, including proper transport, storage, and the use of only potable water for washing produce.
