Serben Farms is a small family farm operating with old-style, outdoor farming practices on the corner of Highway 28 and Range Road 180 in Smoky Lake County. The farm raises hogs and a flock of laying hens, and partners with other local producers to offer beef, chicken, vegetables, and dairy. Its on-farm store stocks fresh and frozen meats, farm-fresh eggs and cream, local cheeses, handmade sausages, burgers, seasonal vegetables, jams, pickles, homemade baking, meat pies, and traditional Ukrainian foods including perogies, pyrishky, nalesnyky, and cabbage rolls. Free-range turkeys are available seasonally at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Serben Farms raises its hogs and laying hens using old-style, outdoor farming practices. Eggs are free-range or free-run depending on the season. All butchery, sausage-making, curing, and smoking are done on-site in the farm's own butcher shop. The farm works directly with other local producers to source beef, chicken, vegetables, and dairy products sold in its store.
