A multi-generation ranch offering 100% grassfed, grass-finished Angus beef and pastured lamb, direct-marketed to families.
Seek First Ranch is a fourth- and fifth-generation family operation run by Joshua and Tara Dukart in western North Dakota. The ranch raises 100% grassfed and grass-finished Angus beef and pastured hair sheep, which it direct-markets to families. Beef is available by individual cut, in bundles, and in bulk as quarters, halves, or whole animals, with pickup available in western and central North Dakota. Shipping is not offered. Alongside its meat operation, the Dukarts are certified educators and trainers through Holistic Management International and Maxwell Leadership, offering regenerative agriculture schools, retreats, and leadership programs for farmers, homesteaders, and teams.
Seek First Ranch raises its Angus cattle on pasture year-round, where their diet consists of fresh water and diverse native grasses, forbs, and legumes. The ranch supplements with vitamins, minerals, salt, clay, and apple cider vinegar. During winter, cattle are supplied with additional home-grown and locally sourced hay. Calves are born in late spring and early summer on green grass and are adapted to the North Dakota climate. The cattle are raised free from synthetic hormones, antibiotics, corn, grain, and GMOs. The ranch describes its approach as regenerative agriculture.
