Multi-generation Kansas farm selling grass-fed beef, pastured pork, lamb, and poultry direct to consumers.
Schenker Family Farms is a fifth-generation working farm in Southeast Kansas raising grass-fed beef, pastured pork, lamb, and poultry. The farm sells direct to the public and offers a CSA-style meat subscription box delivered bi-weekly or monthly, as well as bulk freezer packages of beef and pork. Product lines also include free-range brown eggs, pecans, and gift bundles. Subscription boxes contain 11 to 18 pounds of vacuum-sealed beef and pork, with an optional free-range chicken add-on, and recipes are included with each delivery. The farm is veteran-owned. Learn more on their About Page.
Schenker Family Farms describes its operation as a Naturally Grown farm, meaning it does not use chemical pesticides or herbicides, and the routine use of antibiotics, steroids, or growth hormones is prohibited. All animals are allowed to graze freely on several hundred acres of prairie and specialty grasses. In winter, animals are fed hay made from native grasses and have access to mineral supplements and fresh, clean water year-round. The farm states its commitment to providing a stress-free, humane environment for its animals. Meats are vacuum-sealed in BPA-free packaging, and select products such as bacon, breakfast sausage, and ham contain no added nitrites or nitrates.
