PrairieWoods Farm is a USDA Certified Organic vegetable farm founded in 2019 by Jeremy Baranauskas, who started with a single acre and has grown the operation into a diverse, four-season producer. The farm holds three certifications: USDA Organic, Certified Naturally Grown, and Real Organic Project. It was the first certified organic produce farm in Benton County and the first to bring certified organic vegetables to the Bentonville Farmers Market. Prairie Woods Farm sells produce online, at a weekly pre-order pickup, and at the Bentonville Farmers Market. It also offers farm tours and volunteer days. Learn more on their About Page.
Prairie Woods Farm practices regenerative and minimal-till farming, with a focus on soil health through cover cropping and organic soil biology. The farm uses no synthetic herbicides or pesticides, relying instead on natural deterrents such as ladybugs and Neem oil. It holds USDA Organic Certification, Certified Naturally Grown status, and Real Organic Project certification, all of which require soil-grown crops and prohibit synthetic chemicals and GMOs. The farm grows and sells produce every week of the year.
