Sample Farm

Sample Farm is a fourth-generation family farm that raises beef, pork, chicken, and eggs using regenerative agriculture practices. The farm's roots trace back to 1912, when the Sample family first worked the land in northern Red River Parish. Farmer Scott Sample, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Soil Science, relaunched the operation in 2017 with a focus on transparent, nutrient-dense food. Products are available through The Chop Shop, a local food hub in Shreveport that Scott and his wife Emily established as a permanent storefront for Sample Farm goods and other local producers. The farm also hosts Yoga Farm Fest, a recurring on-farm event.
