Grassfed, grassfinished Heritage Galloway beef raised on a 270-acre New Hampshire farm.
Rocky Meadow Farm raises Heritage Galloway cattle on 270 acres at the base of Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire's Monadnock Region. The farm was started in 1992, when founder Wayne LeClair acquired his first two Galloways, a breed originating in Scotland and prized for its docile temperament and ability to thrive on grass alone. The herd is primarily solid-color Galloways, though Angus, Hereford, and the occasional Belted Galloway are also present. Beef is sold by the side, as a 30-pound variety pack, or as ground beef, with orders placed by email and pickup at the farm. All beef is processed at a USDA-inspected facility, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen. Learn more on their About Page.
Rocky Meadow Farm raises its cattle without artificial growth hormones, antibiotics, insecticides, or herbicides. The herd is 100% grassfed and grassfinished on fields the farm developed from forest, planted with GMO-free grass seed sourced from European seed companies. The farm holds Animal Welfare Approved certification and is subject to an annual on-site review to maintain that seal. It is also affiliated with the American Grassfed Association. The farm offers tours by appointment.
