Rock'n R Farms

Rock'n R Farms raises its cattle entirely on pasture, with no grain in the animals' diet. The herd is managed through rotational grazing, moving between pasture sections on a one-to-two-day cycle to allow forage recovery and improve soil fertility. Cows receive North Atlantic sea kelp as a natural source of chelated trace minerals. Pastures are treated with organic-certified liquid fertilizers and a soil conditioner (Blue N 5-1-1) to build soil richness, stimulate humus production, and promote biological activity. The farm also practices static pile composting, combining tree-trimming chips, leaves, and high-nitrogen manure into piles that are turned over roughly six months before being spread on pastures as natural forage feed. Calm, low-stress animal handling is a stated priority throughout the operation.
