Family-run farm offering locally grown produce, pasture-raised pork, chicken, and eggs in Henry County.
D & R Farm is a small family farm in Pleasureville, Kentucky, run by husband-and-wife team Dan and Ruth. Named after its founders, the farm started selling extra garden produce in 2017 and has grown steadily since. Dan and Ruth now farm over 50 acres full-time, cultivating more than 50 varieties of produce alongside raising hogs, chickens, and grain crops such as field corn and soybeans. Their produce is available at the LaGrange Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, through online ordering with local pickup, and via free delivery within select nearby counties. D & R Farm grows all of its produce on its own farm in Henry County. The farm refrains from using herbicides and pesticides on its produce, though it does not hold an organic certification. Its Meishan pigs are pasture-raised and fed a supplemental diet of non-GMO grain and corn. The farm's goal is to harvest produce and deliver it to customers within 24 hours of picking.
