Rise N Shine Farm is one of the largest Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms in Georgia, growing more than 40 varieties of certified organic fruits and vegetables on nearly 30 acres in the Oostanaula River Valley. Founded by Mitch Lawson in 2004, the farm has been certified organic since that same year. Rise N Shine offers a customizable Local Farm Box subscription, filled with its own produce alongside items from other local producers, and also sells at select groceries and farmers markets. Subscribers can add homemade goods such as strawberry jam, sauerkraut, and pickled okra to their boxes.
Rise N Shine Farm's produce has been certified organic since 2004. The farm cultivates nearly 30 acres of fields along the Oostanaula River, supplemented by almost 2 acres of high tunnel hoop houses that support year-round production. Its pasture-raised hens, which joined the farm in 2017, roam freely and are fed a non-GMO diet. The farm uses sustainable agricultural methods and partners with other local producers to source additional items for its farm boxes.
