Four-generation family dairy farm producing Grade A milk, butter, and ice cream with home delivery and a farm store.
Hornstra Farms is a family-owned and operated dairy farm with roots going back to 1915, when the Hornstra family purchased their first farm in Hingham, Massachusetts. Now in its fourth generation, the farm operates out of Norwell, where it bottles its own Grade A milk and cream on-site. The farm also produces farm-churned butter and its own ice cream. Customers can shop at the Norwell Farm Store and seasonal Ice Cream Dairy Bar, or sign up for home delivery of milk in reusable glass bottles along with other dairy and food products. Hornstra Farms bottles its milk and cream directly on the Norwell property. Minimal pasteurization is a stated family tradition. Milk is delivered and sold in reusable glass bottles, which the farm sterilizes and refills. Hornstra Farms does not use rBGH on its cows.
