Quince is a three-Michelin-star restaurant situated in San Francisco's historic Jackson Square, owned by Lindsay and Chef Michael Tusk. Chef Tusk's approach is refined and contemporary, with Italian sensibilities woven through a California-focused menu. The Gastronomy Menu is an 8- to 10-course tasting menu composed nightly, built around the seasons and the produce of the restaurant's own farm. A four-course lunch menu, available on Fridays and Saturdays, offers a concise expression of the same kitchen. The Bolinas Bar presents a separate California Coast and Valleys menu, allowing guests to compose their own four-course experience from dishes celebrating the state's varied terroirs. Quince sources produce from its own Fresh Run Farm, a certified-organic property in Bolinas located 30 miles north of San Francisco. The farm is a partnership between Chef Michael Tusk and first-generation farmer Peter Martinelli, who together plan each season's plantings. Fresh Run Farm grows over 40 varieties of organic fruit, vegetables, and flowers exclusively for use at Quince. It is one of the oldest certified-organic farms on the West Coast and is protected by the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT). Beyond the farm, the restaurant draws on a dedicated network of Northern California purveyors to shape its menus. In 2020, Quince received one of the inaugural Michelin Green Stars, awarded for its commitment to sustainable practices.
