Porch Swing Farms is a small, rural Arkansas farm run by Holly Payne and Aaron Baldwin. The farm began in 2018 with laying hens and has since grown to include pastured pork as its flagship product, alongside house-made pickles, pimento cheese, glazed local pecans, and a shop offering gifts and dog treats. Pork is available in quarter- and half-share packages, vacuum sealed and USDA certified. Eggs come from a diverse flock of named breeds selected for their naturally varied shell colors. Porch Swing Farms raises its hens in spacious coops with large ranges that are rotated regularly to maintain access to fresh pastures. Chickens receive grain to supplement the greens and insects they forage on their own. The pigs are rotationally grazed on pasture with grass, grain, sun, and space, and are encouraged to root, wallow, and behave like pigs. The farm hand-gathers eggs frequently from clean nest boxes. Eggs are rinsed but minimally washed to preserve the natural protective bloom. The farm also uses the manure from its chickens and pigs to enrich soil for growing flowers.
