Bell Urban Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown urban farm and local foods grocery store in Conway, Arkansas, founded in 2017. The farm grows cut flowers, vegetable transplants, and plants on less than an acre, and operates The Farmstand, an on-site grocery store that opened in November 2020. The Farmstand carries 100% Arkansas-grown and Arkansas-made products, including produce, meat, eggs, honey, milk, cheese, ice cream, fresh flower bouquets, locally roasted coffee, kombucha on tap, and canned goods, sourced from more than 100 Arkansas producers. Bell Urban Farm also offers seasonal Farm Box subscriptions, a CSA-style weekly produce box filled with locally grown fruit and vegetables sourced from central Arkansas farms across four seasons. Farm Boxes are SNAP/EBT eligible when purchased in store.
Bell Urban Farm holds Certified Naturally Grown certification and is inspected yearly. Farming practices on the property include using natural materials such as mulch, creating compost on site, planting organic and non-GMO seeds, and avoiding synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. The Farmstand sources all of its products from other small Arkansas-based farmers and artisans. While some produce sold through the Farmstand and Farm Boxes is Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown, not all of it is; the business notes that the majority of its supplier farmers use natural growing practices even without formal certification. Bell Urban Farm states that, to its knowledge, all produce it sells is non-GMO. Fresh flowers are grown on the farm from March through October; dried flower bouquets and evergreen wreaths are made in the winter months.
