Rabbit Ridge Farms

Rabbit Ridge Farms raises Black Angus and Ultra Black cross cattle born and raised on the property, kept on pasture and finished on grass. Beef is dry-aged after harvest. Heritage breed hogs (Duroc, Berkshire, and Yorkshire) live in the farm's woods and shade trees, where they forage on grasses, grains, berries, nuts, and whatever else they find in the forest. Cornish Cross chickens are moved to fresh grass every day, foraging on worms, insects, grasses, and grains; this rotation is also used to improve soil health and regenerate pasture. The farm uses rotational grazing and a synergistic approach to raising animals with the stated goal of building soil rather than depleting it, describing their approach as regenerative agriculture.
