Pasture-raised, hormone-free beef from a multi-generational Texas Hill Country cattle ranch.
Petsch Cattle Company is a family-owned cattle ranch that has been raising beef on the same land in the Texas Hill Country since 1914. The business was founded in 2020 to sell beef direct to consumers, drawing on more than a century of ranching heritage. The most recent generation of owners are sisters Jeanine Bell and Sheila Petsch, great-great-great granddaughters of Fredericksburg pioneers, with Jeanine's children also involved in daily ranch operations. Petsch Cattle raises a Hereford-Angus cross herd and sells beef in family packs, bulk orders, and custom cuts. Customers can choose between grain-finished and fully grass-fed options. Supply is limited and sold in small batches direct from the ranch. Learn more on their About Page.
Petsch Cattle Company raises its herd on pastureland in the Texas Hill Country, rotating cattle across many acres to allow land to rest and recover, a practice the ranch describes as rotational grazing. During the growing months, cattle graze native grasses including Little Bluestem and Big Bluestem. Through winter, they are fed Coastal Hay grown on the ranch itself. The herd also receives salt licks and mineral blocks, along with CrystalYX mineral supplement and Range Cubes. All beef is raised without added hormones or antibiotics. The ranch operates as a small-batch, direct-to-consumer operation with no middlemen in the supply chain.
