Sustainable market garden growing seasonal vegetables, microgreens, and cut flowers in Texas.
Paris Natural Farms is a family-run sustainable market garden of approximately two acres, located just south of Paris, Texas. It grows a wide range of naturally raised fruits, vegetables, and cut flowers, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, microgreens, kale, carrots, beets, herbs, and more. Produce is available seasonally and year-round through local farmers markets, grocery stores, and area retail outlets. The farm also welcomes visitors and aims to help people learn how to grow their own food. Restaurants and other outlets can contact the farm directly to arrange produce delivery. Learn more on their About Page.
Paris Natural Farms operates as a micro farm, or market garden, without the need for large machinery. Instead, the farm relies on hand tools and a two-wheel walk-behind BCS tractor. Produce is grown on permanent, in-ground 30-inch beds, either outdoors or inside greenhouses and high tunnels. The farm uses low- and no-till farming practices to minimize soil disturbance and preserve the ecosystem below the surface. The farm describes its approach as using the most natural means and resources available.
