Regenerative-certified, pasture-raised eggs and farm goods from East Texas.
Eggcited Farm is a pasture-raised egg operation and family farm in East Texas, founded by former restaurant owners Christie and James. The farm grew from three backyard hens into a flock nearing 3,000 hens, rebuilt entirely after a direct F4 tornado strike destroyed the farm and home in November 2022. Beyond eggs, the farm offers locally grown produce, local honey, pastured chicken, and cottage goods. Products are available through an online store with scheduled pickup locations, as well as through retail partners including Whole Foods Market and Burgundy's Local. The farm also operates the Grace and Light Foundation, a nonprofit connected to its broader mission. Learn more on their About Page.
Eggcited Farm practices regenerative agriculture, rotating hens through native pastures so they can forage on insects and grass. The flock is certified regenerative through Regenefied, whose 6-3-4 Standard covers soil health, biodiversity, water cycle, and ecosystem restoration. The farm's hens also carry Outdoor Living and Animal Welfare certification. Chickens are raised with no hormones or antibiotics. The farm creates compost from trees and leaves for use as mulch in pastures and gardens, and leverages chicken manure as a natural soil amendment. The farm only partners with other farms that share its quality and values standards.
