Family ranch selling grass-fed Black Angus beef, pastured lamb, pastured chicken, and free-range eggs.
RR Wilderness Ranch is a family-run farm founded in 2008 by Marty and Stacy Rauchwerger, inspired by the sustainable ranching model of Joel Salatin and Polyface Farms. The ranch raises Black Angus beef, free-range layer hens, and produces vegetables and herbs. Pastured lamb and pastured chicken are also available through partner farms the ranch has vetted. Products are sold online with delivery to North Texas, and ranch pickups are available by appointment. Bulk beef orders are offered in addition to individual cuts. All products are described by the ranch as Biblically Kosher. Learn more on their About Page.
RR Wilderness Ranch raises its Black Angus cattle on grasses and legumes only, with no grain feeding, no steroids, no hormones, and no feedlot finishing. The ranch's pastures are not treated with herbicides or pesticides. Layer hens are kept in an expansive enclosure and allowed to roam freely in good weather; they are fed a non-GMO, soy-free feed sourced from Texas Naturals and an organic feed from Coyote Creek. Pastured chickens are raised on pasture by a partner farm. Pastured lamb is also sourced from a partner farmer. The ranch follows a sustainable, nature-centered approach to animal husbandry in which all animals work together for the benefit of each other and the land.
