Oake Knoll Farms is an 11th-generation family farm in operation since 1732, raising heritage A2 Ayrshire cows for raw milk, cheese, yogurt, and grass-fed beef. The farm was formed in 2019 through the merger of two family enterprises, OKA Real Milk and Foxboro Cheese Co. Its products are available through a farm store, an online shop, and New England farmers markets. The store also carries products from partner farms that meet the same standards as Oake Knoll Farms. Oake Knoll Farms raises its A2 Ayrshire cows on pasture without antibiotics or added hormones. The herd is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, with no grains, corn, soy, or GMOs in the feed. The farm's pastures are never treated with glyphosates, herbicides, or pesticides. Cows graze outdoors through the summer and have access to hay indoors or outdoors in winter. The farm has invested in a new dairy facility designed to reduce its carbon footprint, eliminate fossil fuel use within the building, and minimize artificial lighting.
