Mountain View Farmstead raises all of its livestock without hormones, growth promotants, or antibiotics. The animals are never sent to a feedlot, and the beef is raised directly on pasture. The farm's Scottish Highland cattle are purebred and registered with the American Highland Cattle Association. The Mangalitsa-cross pigs are raised on the front range in Berthoud. Red Ranger chickens are a heritage, slower-growing breed raised on the farm's own pastures.
