Morris Grassfed Beef

Morris Grassfed Beef raises its cattle on the ranches it manages, which are certified organic by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Animals are raised and finished on organic grass and legumes in open pastures; they are never fed grain, never placed in feedlots, and receive no synthetic hormones or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. If an animal requires antibiotics after weaning, it is removed from the grassfed program and not sold as Morris Grassfed Beef. The ranch uses low-stress Vaquero handling methods. Morris Grassfed Beef is certified under the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standard via IMI Global, and is certified under the Savory Institute's Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) program for grassland ecosystem monitoring. The ranch is a member of the American Grassfed Association and the Grassfed Alliance, and holds Audubon bird-friendly recognition.
