Family-run orchard and farm stand growing Royal Blenheim apricots, cherries, and walnuts in Hollister since 1958.
Fairhaven Orchards is a multi-generational family farm that has been growing fruit and nuts in Hollister since 1958. The farm is now operated by three sisters and their families, who took over to carry on the legacy established by their father and uncle. Fairhaven grows Royal Blenheim apricots, several varieties of cherries (including Royal Hellen, Royal Hazel, Black Pearl, Tartarian, and Rainier), and walnuts. Its iconic Red Barn farm stand has been a fixture on Bolsa Road since 1983. Products are sold at the farm stand, through boutique grocers across California, and online through the farm's own website. Learn more on their About Page.
Fairhaven Orchards tray-dries its Royal Blenheim apricots and grades the dried fruit into distinct sizes: slab, colossal, jumbo extra-large, and extra fancy. The farm grows only the Royal Blenheim variety for its dried apricots, a cultivar that requires the specific climate conditions found in the Hollister region. Fruit is picked from the farm's own orchards. The farm has also operated its own commercial packing facility since the 1960s, handling cherry packing for growers across the county as well as its own harvest. The farm recommends refrigerating all products after opening, and freezing for longer-term storage to preserve flavor and color.
