Miller's Farm & Gardens is a woman-owned small farm in Altoona, Alabama, run by Kelly and Mark Miller. Kelly grew up drawn to animals and farming, inspired by grandparents and great-grandparents who farmed and grew produce organically in the Italian tradition. Mark brings an engineering background and a wide range of hands-on skills that keep the farm running. The farm produces pasture-raised, multicolored eating eggs, as well as local produce. It also hatches Lavender Orpington, Rhode Island Red, and Easter Egger chicks, and raises Silver Fox and New Zealand rabbits for meat or as breeding stock. Learn more on their About Page.
Miller's Farm & Gardens raises its hens on pasture and feeds them locally grown and milled grains, sourced from Alabama farmers. The farm's approach to animal care draws on a family heritage of growing flowers and produce organically, canning and preserving for year-round use. Rabbits are raised with close individual attention to health. Chicks are hatched on-site throughout the year from the farm's own flocks.
