Family-owned grass-fed and grass-finished beef farm selling individual cuts and custom whole or half cow.
Wide Open Spaces is a family-owned, grass-fed beef farm set in the southern foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northeast Alabama. The farm raises cattle on rotationally grazed pasture and sells 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef with no hormones. Individual cuts are available at recurring pop-up sell dates held locally, and customers can also order custom whole or half beef by arrangement. The cut selection runs from ground beef and steaks to roasts, organ meats, and bones. Wide Open Spaces does not ship; all sales are local and in person. Learn more on their About Page.
Wide Open Spaces raises cattle using rotational grazing on open pasture, and all beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished with no hormones added. The farm states that its grazing practices improve soil quality through the addition of organic matter, aid in water filtration, and restore local habitats and ecosystems. The operation explicitly avoids synthetic inputs associated with conventional beef production and frames its land stewardship as a responsibility to improve the natural environment.
