A four-generation family dairy farm producing glass-bottled milk, maple syrup, eggs, beef, and baked goods.
McNamara Dairy is a family-owned farm that has worked the banks of the Connecticut River in Plainfield, NH since 1950, when William and Hazel McNamara purchased the property. Four generations of McNamaras now live and work on the farm together. The dairy processes and bottles its own milk in glass bottles under the McNamara Dairy label. The farm also raises a small beef herd born and raised on the property, keeps a flock of cage-free laying hens under the Mac's Happy Hens name, and produces 100% wood-fired maple syrup under the Mac's Maple label. All of these products are available through the on-site Mac's Happy Acres farm store, along with butter, baked goods, and maple creamees made with the farm's own milk and maple syrup.
McNamara Dairy processes and bottles its own milk on the farm in glass bottles. Maple syrup is produced using 100% wood-fired heat. The farm raises all of its own cow crops and harvests most of the wood used to fire the sugar arch and heat the farm buildings from its own land. The beef herd is born and raised on the farm. Laying hens are kept cage-free. The farm also maintains its own sugar orchards for maple production.
