Overview
Family-run CSA farm growing vegetables, fruit, and honey for the Greater Baton Rouge area
Luckett Farms is a family-run operation farming plots of land in Pride and Central, Louisiana, selling produce direct to consumers through a weekly CSA program and at the Red Stick Farmers Market. Members receive a weekly box of vegetables, fruit, honey, and other homegrown items, with box contents varying by what the season yields. The farm also offers a Pickle Club and a you-pick blueberry experience. Shares are available in full-year and shorter seasonal options, with a senior share size as well. Members can choose weekly pickup at designated drop-off locations or opt for home delivery. Unclaimed boxes are donated to families in need or a food bank. Luckett Farms is Certified Louisiana. Learn more on their About Page.
Luckett Farms works just under 40 acres of growing land plus 200 acres of pasture for its grass-fed livestock. The main plot in Pride has been farmed by the Luckett family across three generations. The farm builds and maintains soil health through crop rotation, cover crops, compost, and integrated pest management. It avoids GMO seeds, synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and synthetic preservatives. When pest control is necessary, the farm uses USDA Organic certified pesticides where possible. No antibiotics or hormones are used on animals, and the grass-fed livestock roams free on tree-lined pasture. Produce is harvested as close to peak ripeness as possible. The farm also collaborates with nearby farmers who share its agricultural practices.
